The restructuring of Douglas Marine under Paolo Ramoino continues with the redesign of its distribution network and a 60% increase in production during 2021.
After the agreement with STF Europe (manufacturer of the famous Spade anchors and dynamic French distributor of premium marine accessories), C-Quip Ltd (UK) and Baitra (SPAIN) both now join the expanding distribution network.
C-Quip is an established British supplier that has strong relationships with the major national shipyards and Marinas, whilst Baitra is one of the main retailers of nautical equipment in Spain.
The international growth is accompanied by the consolidation of relations with the historic Italian retailers of the brand.
Our Italian facility, based in Milan, has recently expanded with skilled new staff and machinery to accommodate the demand for increased production, whilst maintaining the highest quality standards.
Douglas Marine was founded in 1976, as a manufacturer of quality nautical products. From mooring shock absorbers to telescopic foldaway ladders, and stainless-steel fender profiles to anchors connectors, the company has more than 12 active patents with the majority of components made internally, thanks to machinery and tools developed for specific processes.
“We have quality products, a high brand reputation, an expert workforce, and we are now combining it with fresh energies and a modern view on the market”, says Paolo Ramoino.
“My goal is to leverage this heritage and the value of “Designed and Made” in Italy, with a network of committed distributors worldwide that partners with us for the long-term.”
